Nocturno de San Miguel | Brandon Graciano
Inspired by San Miguel de Allende, a city deeply connected with my family’s history in Mexico, this artwork reimagines the city through memory, music, and dreamlike atmosphere. Influenced by the mood of piano nocturnes - the painting explores the quiet rhythm of night through glowing architecture, reflective streets, and layered color. The piece was created for 'Punto de Encuentro,' a collective exhibition featuring 21 artists at the Mexican Cultural Institute in San Antonio in June 2026. During the opening, I also performed piano, allowing the work to exist in conversation with the music that helped inspire it. (This piece is currently on display at the Mexican Cultural Institute in San Antonio, TX, and will be unavailable for purchase until September 2026.)
